And in addition….here is a recipe that is good and fattening, so make it once per year, if you dare!
Hi (again) all you chefs. I make this corn every Thanksgiving. This recipe is good AND fattening!
I got it from a friend’s sister back in “98. Here is the original recipe:
2 packages (20oz) frozen corn 1 cup whipping cream
1 cup milk 2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon msg ( I never include this)
a pinch of white pepper 2 tablespoons soft butter (not margarine)
2 tablespoons flour Parmesan cheese for topping
Chopped Chives (optional)
Combine corn, cream, milk, sugar, salt msg and pepper in large
saucepan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Blend
together butter and flour. Stir into corn. Cook and stir until
thickened. Pour into buttered 2 1/2 qt casserole. Sprinkle parmesan
cheese over top. Place under broiler (briefly!) until lightly browned.
Sprinkle chopped chives if desired!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope It turns out good for y’all if you decide to make it, Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
